CLASSIC FOAMS
Classic foams are standard T-type foams, obtained by free foaming of Polish and foreign high-quality materials, safe for the ozone layer.
Due to their adequate density, hardness and other parameters, the foams are recommended as a perfect material to be used in upholstered furniture and mattresses. Organika recommends foams with a density of 14 to 22 kg/m3 to be used in armrests, backrests, headrests and fillers, and as a supplementary material, foams with a density of 23 to 25 kg/m3 for backrests, and foams with a density of 30 to 50 kg/m3 for mattresses and seats.
Taking into account the technology, ergonomics and comfort parameters, it is suggested that the upholstery be composed of a number of elements with different mechanical properties. Using a few layers of foams with varied density, where the lighter foams are placed on top, also increases the comfort of use of furniture and mattresses.
COMFORT FOAMS
Comfort foams are high resilience (HR-type) foams. They are produced with a similar technology to classic foams, using high-quality materials and different compositions than usual of cross-linking and foaming substances, and catalysts.
High resilience foam is a cellular material with smooth texture and irregular structure. Such foams are highly flexible and react dynamically to weight removal, thus guaranteeing high comfort of use. They are highly air-penetrable, resistant to stretching, and quickly regain their original shape after intensive squeezing.
They are used to manufacture seats and backrests in expensive, luxury furniture and mattresses. It is recommended that they be used in combination with classic foams, often without additional spring inserts.
SAFETY FOAMS
Safety foams are low-flammable CME-type foams. They are produced with the method of free foaming of Polish and foreign high-quality materials, safe to the ozone layer. CME foams are similar in structure to standard T-type foams (Classic), which have the additional quality of low-flammability, required, for instance, by the British standards.
This type of foam is mainly used in the production of mattresses and furniture for public utility facilities, including hotels, cinemas, theatres, restaurants, sports and entertainment arenas, etc., but also in transportation and shipping.
VISCOR
This is a user-friendly viscoelastic foam, commonly known as thermoelastic “memory foam” or “slow foam”. It was invented in the 1970s at the US NASA research centre. Its principal function was to neutralise the negative effects of long-lasting sitting and lying in a limited space, as well as to absorb energy generated during take-off and landing.
The fundamental characteristic of the VISCOR foam is its low elasticity, which results in its "slowness" If we press our hand against the foam, it makes a dent which will only gradually disappear after some time. This is evidence of its sensitivity to body weight and temperature. This way, the Viscor foam perfectly adapts to the body shape, supporting it exactly where it should. Moreover, it reduces the pressure on the whole body surface, providing relief to the back, neck, arms and legs, ensuring a healthy rest. Upon getting up from the VISCOR foam, it slowly returns to its original shape.
VISCOR is a perfect solution for mattresses, pads, pillows and headrests, both in the furniture industry and in the medical equipment sector. It can be used in anti-bedsore mattresses.
